One of the most amazing moments in the making of ‘In Reverie’ was when we attached the original score to the film. Seeing it for the first time with the music tied the whole film together, bringing Stanislaw’s journey straight to the hearts of the viewers.
Music has such a powerful effect on people, and our score proved just that.
Here is a quote from the director, Aleksandra Gordon about her experience:
“Hearing the score with the film for the first time was probably one of the best moments ever. I gave the composer one song as a reference, ‘Stillness of the Mind’ by Abel Korzeniowski and that I wanted the main instruments to be piano, violin and cello. We talked about the mood and tone of each part of the film and the emotions that are tied to each part of the film. When he played it to me for the first time is was like magic. Every note was perfect and was just what I imagined it would be. Having your own music composed, makes such a difference then just getting the rights to other music. It fits your film and only your film and that make it so special.”
